It converts in a few seconds to a vacuum by removing the inlet tube and cover; just hook the front of the vacuum tube on and snap. Attach the generous bag and you're ready to pick up the mountain of leaves you've blown. As it vacuums, the fan impeller will mulch the leaves down, too, reducing 10 bags to 1. We like the ergonomic handle and the comfortable strap. The tubes are sturdy and won't crack if you accidentally whack them. It's a light unit at 7.3 pounds, and it's not nearly as loud as most, though at 69 decibels, you'll still want to wear ear protection.
